About Us
SEforum is a group of like-minded individuals who believe that social entrepreneurship creates market base solutions that lead to positive and sustainable social change.
We started out from the NUS Business School in 2004 where our ‘fire in the belly’ was ignited by Bunker Roy, and went on to hold 2 other national forums on social entrepreneurship, bringing together leading thinkers and practitioners of social entrepreneurship from all over the world to share about the work and innovative social solutions brought about by social entrepreneurship.
We decided to branch out from our annual sit-down conferences to an interactive online portal, where we’re putting together a directory of regional social enterprises, bringing SEs a step closer to the marketplace; featuring leading social entrepreneurs; and putting together an aerial view of the main questions people have about social entrepreneurship in our Insights section.
All this would not have been possible without the continous support of our partners, the NUS Centre for Social Entrepreneurship & Philanthropy. As a centre of excellence in social entrepreneurship and philanthropy research and education, CSEP is very supportive of students and alumni in their community involvement projects with local and overseas non-profit organizations and social enterprises.

Feel free to drop us a note, we’re always on a look out for the social enterprise we’ve yet to feature, the social entrepreneur we’ve not met, and just to chat about ideas on how to improve what we’re doing.
